In order to enrich the campus life of international students, and let them further understand Chinese traditional culture, the College of International Education successfully held The Chinese traditional culture workshop-Qingming Festival on April 1st. More than 40 international students from Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, Colombia, Togo and Japan participated in it.
With the theme of experiencing the culture and making a Qingtuan(traditional snack in Qingming Festival), CIE carried out cultural experience activities for international students in various links. The teachers introduced the origin and history of Qingming Festival, as well as the process and skills of making a Qingtuan. For the need of epidemic prevention and control, CIE specially arranged the activities for two sessions in the morning and afternoon to limit the number of students and control the flow.
Qingming Workshop is the first of a series of activities of Chinese cultural experience for international students in CIE this year. In order to promote Chinese traditional culture and international cultural exchanges, CIE will organize more cultural activities with Chinese characteristics, so as to further improve international students' sense of identity with Chinese culture and their sense of belonging to the university.
