On March 10th, we welcomed first cohort international students at SUES Changning campus. College of International Educaion has worked out the plan according to the principle of registration in batches on different time, so as to ensure the offline registration is carried out safely, systematically and smoothly. The teachers of CIE patiently guided the students and carefully answered the questions to help the students complete the registration process.
Under the severe impact of the epidemic situation, CIE strives to overcome all kinds of difficulties, actively innovate the enrollment mode and channels, and ensure the stable and sustainable development of our international students' language training program. Meanwhile, CIE has always insisted on keeping a strict entry requirements for students, following up from the aspects of academic performance and daily performance after enrollment, so as to guarantee the quality of students. The international students of this semester come from more than 40 countries, including Japan, South Korea, the United States, France and Russia,etc.
This semester, CIE continues to optimize the course of the international students' language training program. On the basis of the existing courses, Business Chinese, Chinese News and Chinese Pronunciation are added to improve students' understanding of China's national conditions and Chinese culture. This semester, the courses are still based on online teaching, supplemented by offline courses. After two semesters of online teaching, students have adapted the courses as well as the teaching mode. CIE is constantly exploring the reform and innovation of teaching mode in the Post Epidemic era, trying to open up a new teaching mode for international students.
In the new semester, we expect more international students to walk into the beautiful campus. All the teachers of CIE will continue to forge ahead, strive to provide more high-quality courses and services for international students during the 14th Five-year Plan period, and continue to work together to carry forward the internationalized development strategy, so as to improve the internationalized level of Shanghai University of Engineering Science.
