We ushered in the long-awaited 2020 SUES Sports Games. The international students team of the College of International Education also participated actively. Now, let’s review the story of this event together.

Our phalanx consisted of a total of 24 international students. The afternoon of November 20th was the time for group rehearsals set by the school. In order to perform better in the phalanx performance, the students arrived at the Songjiang campus to practice at 9 o'clock in the morning. From the beginning of the loose group to the subsequent harmonious and united team, everyone practiced in the gym again and again. Every time they passed the rostrum, they were accompanied by the loud slogan 我爱工程大，工程大，大成功 (I love SUES, SUES big success ), and suddenly discovered that the hard work is worthwhile.

It was another rainy day, but it did not affect everyone's excitement. Get up at 5 o'clock in the morning, set off at 6 o'clock, and 8 o'clock with music, everyone walked to the rostrum in a neat pace. The display lasting just a few minutes made us full of pride.

——Hercules
Rabiou from Niger participated in this game. As a second-year graduate student, this is the second time he has participated in the competition. He said with a smile: Teacher, this is my speciality! The game called for explosive power and physical fitness. He inhaled and squatted, and accurately controlled the tire direction. After fierce competition, he finally won the third place.
——400-Meters Run
Caleb, from Togo, spent two weeks preparing for this competition. On the field, he was full of confidence and ran with all his strength in the rain, and finally won the third place in the group. Caleb said, I haven't played my best this time, and I want to come again for the Games next year!
———Football Shooting
This is a collective project.The group with the most shoots will be the first one. The four players in our College of International Education are all very good. The football from their feet accurately falls into the gate. Amen is the only girl in the team, she is from Rwanda, and her vigorous posture is impressive! She said: Thanks to the companions who participated in the competition with me. I am very happy to work with you together and hope that we will play better next year.

Summary and Expectations
CIE organized our international students to actively participate in the Games. Both the undergraduates and postgraduates of the Chinese-taught program in Songjiang campus, or the undergraduates of the English-taught program in Changning campus, are eager to try and show everyone's positive energy. This event not only helps international students quickly adapt to campus life, but also enhance their interaction and friendship. The College of International Education encourages students to actively participate in various practical activities on campus for comprehensive and coordinated development. Affected by the epidemic abroad this year, most of our international students cannot return to school for the time being. We look forward to the day when epidemic is overcome, and we will enjoy a beautiful campus life in SUES with everyone!
